Hudl deletes mail after opening.

Guys,
Setting up a Hudl for an elderly neigbour.
Have set his email account on Hudl and it's working( Virgin Media)
However,once email on Hudl is read it gets deleted. I'm guessing I have missed something somewhere but can't not see what it is.
No evident settings on Hudl
Any suggestions appreciated.

Is there an option (checkbox) to leave a copy on the server? I remember something like that vaguely unce:

I would try a different email program as I have had that problem with android phones I now only use gmail for the android phones
