Message Sent to Mobile Via ISP

Can you help. A friends 10 years old daughter is continually getting foul messages from some idiot using his pc. The last message yesterday was so vile that the police were called in. They informed my friend that the source would be untraceable. I am hoping that it is traceable and hope someone on the forum is able to help.<br />Any ideas m8s

get in touch with the phones service provider eg bt cellnet,orange etc etc and tell them what is happening ..they should be able to track it back and get an ip addy from at least the isp who in turn will be able to trace the senders ip addy from the tag attached to the original sms

or just get a new simm card for the phone .. it would also give the child a bit of re-assurance<br />...only give the new number to people she can trust..

on a personal note <br /> the person/persons who commit these kind of act's should be lined up and INHUMANELY treated till death..this is probably the view of 99% of the worlds population exept for humanitarians,sex offenders and do gooding social workers

Had a simmilar problem mate ,I'm on one to one and have a philips phone.I phoned them up and explained, and they gave me a new number.It only took about an hour,and they didn't charge me.They also transfered all credits over to my new number.All this was done over the air,no new sim card.They could not have been more helpful. <img src="smile.gif" border="0"> <img src="smile.gif" border="0">
